PERSONAL IDENTITY, SPACE AND INTERACTION

An Immersive Exhibition design project that delves into the idea of space, personality, and interaction exploring digital and physical spaces of four individuals.

Overview

In the interplay between people and their spaces, identity is continuously exchanged. This project explores how physical and digital environments serve as intentional canvases for self-expression—like bumper stickers, but more intricate and dynamic. By analyzing curated content and personal interactions within these spaces, the study reveals how human psychology is embedded in objects, graphics, and colors.

Through a museum installation, the project showcases five spaces reflecting the personalities of four individuals—Sanjeev, Lata, Agastya, and Varin. Grounded in proxemics and the sociology of space, it examines how stereotypes, social norms, and cultural assumptions shape these environments. From a grandmother’s cupboard to a father’s mobile phone, the study uncovers the deep-seated meanings and narratives encoded in personal spaces.
